Again, care is purely a matter of total cleanliness: a tub or shower, warm water, and a soap wash with special care being taken of the underarms, genital and anal areas and the feet. Antiperspirants and deodorants will ensure the body remains odour-free for a number of hours and if you feel like smelling nice you could add a dash of cologne. It is also essential that having followed this routine properly you change shirt, underwear and socks daily too. Clean clothes are as much a part of total cleanliness as clean skin.

Many men skip on the routines that keep their hands in good condition and the state of their feet up to scratch. Bad hands and smelly feet are signs of a man who has let himself go.

Badly kept hands ruin a man’s appearance and it is often claimed that when seeking a job poor nails can alienate a prospective employer and make him take a longer look at other candidates. Any man can take care of his hands by gently scrubbing them with a brush and then, with nailfile and scissors, manicuring them. Cuticle remover cream will keep the surrounds looking clear and handcream will keep the hands supple.

The same sort of care applies to feet too; a good scrub with a brush and a pedicure with nailfile and scissors. Poor foot care and dirty socks are the breeding ground for athletes foot. Feet respond well to scrubbing and can be talcummed or dusted with anti-fungal powder before socks are worn.
